Travel Diary #1: 4 Girls And A Car

Day 1:

Los Angeles. Las Vegas. Grand Canyon. Bryce Canyon. Lake Powell. Zion National Park.

Our trip begins with a few days in the always lovely city of LA. Mostly we are eating until we can eat no more and enjoying the blissful weather.

Today, after  reuniting with our baby nephew (who is impossibly cuter than the last time I hung out with him) we hit up the beaches of Malibu.

Of course, our lunch had to be served to us (we are on vacation, after all) so the Fish Grill it was.

Dinner was had at the brand new O ‘Wok, a Japanese-Chinese fused restaurant. I’m still stuffed.

Los Angeles is always exciting to visit- you can feel people doing big things. The last time I was here, I was busy attending my brothers wedding and 2 and a half years younger.

Today I looked into the eyes of so many strangers and saw so much confusion. Everyone looked so lost. It kind of scared me.

I saw a man just standing alone with his guitar- a man with his dream.

Not everyone can be a big deal.

I’m excited to get to the real road trip part of this trip, but it’s nice to be in the city again. It’s been about a month and a half since I spent time in a real city, and I forgot how much I miss the humanity. The sheer amount of humans there could be and how very different each one is.

Traveling is weird. There are so many places I want to visit, it’s actually a little bit crazy, but it’s just so incredible. We get stuck in our own homes, our tiny lives, and we forget that there is literally an entire world out there that doesn’t live the way we do. But at the end of the day, we all are the same. From the east coast to the west coast, I’m excited to do what I do best. Sit back and observe.

Ps. If you have any suggestions for things to do or places to eat, please tell me. We are all for trying new things.
